Favicon: need help with 404

Hi!

The website has a few themes, and for some of them I can see favicon, for some - not. And I can't find the difference and solve this issue. Here are the attempts to solve it (not successful):

1. add favicon in png and ico in assets (links in the layout.theme.liquid)

2. add favicon in files and tried in two different ways (links in the layout.theme.liquid)

- link: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0574/0000/0707/files/favicon.ico 

- link: https://www.florences.com/cdn/shop/files/favicon.ico 

3. in the theme customization section -> settings -> favicon

Console shows for themes without seing favicon:

GET https://www.florences.com/favicon.ico  404 (Not Found)            favicon.ico:1
But network shows for any themes this:

favicon.png?v=1717...    /      200 / png / ?_ab=0&_fd=0&_sc=1:4602

favicon.ico                     /      404 / text/plain  / Other

Please, help to understand this issue and find a solution.

Upon checking, I noticed that your theme code contains 3 favicon image links. Try removing the second and third links to see if the favicon appears.

Additionally, the second link seems to have a broken image.

I forgot to comment unused lines here, but originally I tried one line at a time, which means I tested with first line, then second version etc.. So, when I did as you suggest I still didn't see the favicon.

You mention that second link is broken. It is also a good question, because I do have both file favicon.png and favicon.ico in assets and for this line code is <link rel="icon" href="{{'favicon.ico'| asset_url}}" type="image/png" sizes="16x16"> . I also don't understand why it is broken or why shopify don't support ico format.

Your website's icon is indeed not showing.
