Hi Support,
I work for MyDeal, and we have an integration with Shopify. Recently, we’ve noticed an increasing number of new sellers experiencing issues with their first syncs failing, particularly over the past two weeks.
Upon investigating using Postman, we receive the following error response:
"errors": "[API] Invalid API key or access token (unrecognized login or wrong password)"
To resolve this, we’ve been resetting their configuration as follows:
This approach has successfully re-established the connection.
Here are some examples where the first import failed:
Note: API credentials and settings are automatically generated and shared between Shopify and our CRM, and are never manually inputted by us or the seller.
We’re also seeing issues with some existing sellers flagged with:
“Unable to perform Shopify import as the 'read_inventory' scope is needed to query RequiresShipping."
Similar to the previous issue, there is no resolution available for us or the seller without them removing and reinstalling the app. While this is manageable, it shouldn't be an ongoing process, especially for sellers also selling on additional marketplaces, as their products may temporarily go offline, which can affect pricing and events.
Has there been any change in permissions on your end?
We need clarity on why this issue has started occurring. Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.
