Gift note onto order confirmation and packing slip

Hi

We are really looking for some help please - we are yet to be able to find a solution...

Does anyone know how we can do the below?

- Get the gift message to appear on the order confirmation that is sent automatically sent to the customer 

- Get the gift message to appear on the packing slips?

Are you using metafields? 
I would like to know more about how this is setup to understand how to solve this issue

Metafields don’t print out do they?

I have not tried it personally, but I think you can try editing the template and adding the metafield.

Shipping and Delivery -> Packing Slip -> Edit Template
