I'm using the Giftship App and trying to get the Gift Message to display on the Cart Page when added from the product page.
I tried following the instructions and clearly can't figure it out - https://docs.giftship.app/article/how-to-display-a-gift-message-on-your-cart-page-when-it-was-added-...
They say this code needs to get added, but I must be putting it in the wrong spot...any help would be amazing
(PS: I keep trying to add the code to this post but it says it's invalid - but it's from their help document so maybe something there as well). The code is in the link above!
Note generally for app related issues merchants should contact that apps support.
Though for "customizations" apps often wont support implementation details among specific themes.
Hi @honeybug Recognize in troubleshooting that this description is incredibly vague:

Beyond that for anyone to even being to help you need to provide inspectable resources, and/or better details of what exact actions you have taken otherwise it's guesswork.

Often forums rich text is not compatible with pasting in other systems arbitrary rich text.
You can often press control+shift+v to paste-without-formatting so it's text only.
Or on the shopify forums use the "insert/edit code sample" button hidden by the three dots menu ... in the post editor menu.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I'm not an engineer and do not know the etiquette of the community and doing my best to communicate the issue.
My first move was reaching out to the app naturally, but haven't received a reply so thought I'd ask the community for help.
Often following posts I receive introductions to experts that can help me for a fee and that was always greatly appreciated. I will work on better communicating the issues in the future.

Nothing to do with engineering or code or specific communities, it's general troubleshooting for any problem in life and a cost saving behavior in business.
It's about always keeping in mind other people do not know what you know about your problem.
My site is X, I edited this file in my theme X, this is the url where you can see what I did. etc.
Merchants that don't bother with specificity as a habit burn alot more money than they have to because of it.
On the forums most merchants get no answers at all to their problems because of vagueness.
