When I setup my store, I just created a GA account etc and installed the app to the store. Ran some tests and had issues tracking gtags but got it sorted.
Ive had some sales but nothing is coming through to GA. I cannot edit my thank you page to add a script. So if shopify is recording sales why isnt GA when the apps are connected?
Hi,
Are you looking at the right section in GA4 for sales -- it's called Monetization, under Reports.
The event Shopify sends to GA4 for counting sales is called Purchase -- do you see such an event in your events list? You can mark it as a Key Event.
K.
@K_Br4 Nah I look at Reports snapshot, and look at the bottom to see what are your top selling products etc etc, nothing. I look under reports > Business obectives > sales > transactions, nothing.
I just don't know where to start because I thought I had everything connected 😞 I really need help
Hello svalkyrie23 ,
Thanks for your query.
As you are looking to get sales data on google analytics first setup UTM link on facebook campaign level to know the source/medium and campaign.
For more ads sales data connect GA4 and Google ads.
if you have already done these but not getting data in GA4 that means your tracking script not working properly.
As you are using Google and Youtube native app to track the conversions you may consider using Google Tag Manager setup to track the conversions manually.
Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Thanks
I have asked questions, but no one can give details or links to a good place to start to setup this.
No one advises that even though youve "easily successfully linked your sites with GA via the youtube app" that stuff still does not work. It's extremely disappointing!
