Google Merchant <> Shopify complex shipping rules

Hello all, I have an issue in my google merchant center where some products have the wrong shipping amounts on them compared to our Shopify Store. I sync products and shipping rates to Google Merchant using the Google app for Shopify.

In Shopify, we have some more expensive products, which we don't offer free shipping for. They typically have a flat rate shipping amount. I have rules set up in Shopify Shipping and Delivery to account for this.

In Google Merchant, the cheapest shipping policy always applies. Since all the products are under the same feed (This is just how google app for Shopify does it), and there's a shipping policy for free shipping associated with that feed, google thinks our shipping is always free.

Does anyone know a way to fix this? I've looked at adding manual shipping policies in google merchant, but nothing they have works properly for situations where all products are in the same feed. I've looked at some apps (Nabu for Google Shopping Feed) that claim to provide better solutions, but I'm not seeing any concrete evidence we can set this up.

So the rule is that if you add shipping details using the settings, it will apply to all products, unless you add a shipping label, which then will apply only to products with that shipping label.

Based on your details, I recommend that you add the shipping price on the product itself. Because all product level shipping rates, will overwrite all Google Merchant Center shipping settings.

The only way to do this is using a supplement feed. Which currently is not yet in GMC Next, so you will need to convert to GMC Classic for now.

Thank you so much for your response. I've seen some articles about adding product overrides for shipping, and I've seen the shipping label configuration in GMC, but I'm not sure how to add shipping label data to a product in GMC or in Shopify. Do you have any input on how to do this?
