Hi,
We have been facing google merchant representation issues, although i have made all the necessary changes but still google rejected our review request. it shows errors as below
We are facing huge losses because of this as we can't promote our product due to the misrepresentation policy
Need suggestion our website link: https://www.funkyboutiquee.com/
Hi,
I'm having the exact same issue. I have removed a tonne of content and taken the site back to it bare bones and it's still saying there are these errors above.
For example, I recommend adding your address on your contact page.
Make sure to show if an item is in or out of stock on the product landing page.
Consider increasing your trust signals by having authentic reviews.
1. I have my details all over my policies pages.
2. Not sure how you do that.
3. I can only get reviews if people want to leave a review. I can't force them.
Hello google they have added a new rule in the gmc robot.
And as for you since the beginning of July my gmc is blocked.
Did you activate the product reviewer feed?
do you offer delivery?
Currently we are working to bring the site back into compliance with google rules
Hi Steph92150,
I haven't got a GMC.
I'm not sure what a product reviewer feed is or where to find it. All my products are listed active in each of the products.
I do offer delivery. Soon to be flat rate of $9 Australia only and Addition app works out international shipping.
But the reasons Google gives me don't make sense. I read through them and I can't see where I've gone wrong. Then I look at the misrepresentation policy and as far as I'm concerned I don't break any of them either. If I can't see what Google wants me to fix, how can I fix it with the vague reasons they give.
I have paid people to look at it and they don't understand what Google wants to fix the problems.
At first my products were accepted but days later the took them all off.
I'm autistic, you can't give me vague reasons and expect my to understand what you want. I need direct instructions.
as soon as I have managed to unlock the gmc I will contact you.
My gmc is for canada, united kingdom, australia
and what country are you from?
Have you reached to something ?
I’ve Ben suspended for 3 months now got a girl to upload product one of the products was second hand it didn’t say didn’t know about this Google don’t trust now
Got two guys they fix the website Google not allowing it through them a guy ask me for 5000 dollars to fix like really
Hello Steph
Were you able to remove suspension? Please share your observations/conclusions/suggestions.
~Vik
I also have the exact issue that you have and I think it is new rule in GMC because I have another website which was fine till today I got suspended, at first I thought it is only in Saudi Arabia ,so if anyone know or he fixed this , please tell us how we can so that.
From my point view, I think SSL Certificate has something in this issue but I am not sure
This is what I did;
I emailed Google through the help section of Google Merchant.
I asked them where EXACTLY the issues are because their system is way to vague.
They manually accepted my products.
It can take awhile. It tooke 3 days to get my email replied too.
One thing, I know it's frustrating, but don't give up. I was about to give up. But I held on long enough to get it resolved.
OMG, that is so great and makes have a hope in this life again lol
What was your issue and what the form of email that used to get replied because I sent an email and they did not reply so far, Is this Email that you sent "googleshopping@google.com" and thanks
Sadly you just have to sit on your hands and wait when emailing Google. Ahhh ummm they don't tell you what the issues are with your site in detail which is annoying.
Have you heard of Semrush? They have a 14 day free trial to help with your SEO stuff. I used it to fix errors that I could fix. Like alt text on images and doubling up on page names in the meta description.
What I also did is look at websites selling similar products to mine and see what their site says and make it similar but not exact. What I have noticed is Google doesn't like any text that's not related to the item.
I also put some shipping details on each product page. That helped.
Okay
Can I have a look o ur website please
Im having this same issue right now... but customer support told me to request a review. I requested a review and they still said the same generic response.
There is no point asking Google for help, they don't even help agencies. The reason they don't help is that they want to avoid bad actors from learning how to circumvent policy violation. This means honest merchants get caught in the net with complex policies.
The only way to increase the chances of getting approved is by resolving any and all potential issues, even how small or insignificant the issue you might find.
So my advice, go the extra mile.
This is not true. I did at least 10 reviews of my site. I did so many reviews I was blocked for 10 days from doing a review.
I emailed them through the Google merchant website. I have mental health, I'm Autistic and ADHD and I was getting frustrated with them. I told them I'm disabled and that their generic messages didn't help me resolve the issues.
They came back with the exact cause of my problems.
1. Don't mention charities unless you link to them.
2. Item descriptions to only be about the items. Create a section only for the specs of the item. Weight, size, material, colour, where it's made etc. Add in another text block to add the fluffy parts of the item. "This item is geart for family holidays..."
3. Clean up links.
4. Do the Shopify shipping, returns, contact us section.
5. Make sure all you phone numbers and addresses in Shopify, in Google Merchant Centre and on your website are all the same. No PO Boxes.
6. Make sure those links appear in your footer.
Hello @Yieki, your very lucky! I wish I would get such support. I guess Google is very spotty with who they help and who not.
