Google Search Console Verification Failures

I have tried absolutely everything to get verification to work and still it's not happening.  My site was verified and working perfectly until about a month ago, and then suddenly Google demanded verification again.  I've tried all of the methods, including the DNS record.  My domain name host says everything is correct with them, Shopify say I've put all the correct code where it needs to go, but STILL it doesn't work.  It's driving me insane.  Can anyone help please?  My website is www.shamrockshirts.com.au  Thank you so much.

Have you solved this problem? How did you solve it? I am trying to add an Aussie domain name https://www.dinneronthetable.com.au today to Google Search Console but also experiencing issues. The error message from Google Search console is

The connection to your server timed out.

Please fix your implementation and reverify, or use another verification method.

I can access the store and the backend, and can see the html tag required for verification. Somehow Google robots have problem accessing the website. 

I have contacted Shopify support team, who assured the problem is not with Shopify, and asked me to contact Google. Could you share your solution if you have found one? thanks.

I'm sure they DID tell you the problem was "not with Shopify".  After all, that's what they're paid to say.  But at the end of the day, the problem still exists, and it's Shopify's job to work well with Google, not the other way around.
