Google Shopping Feed implementation remains broken

Hi All,

I would really like an update on when you (Shopify) are gonna fix your implementation of the Google Shopping Channel.

You are still not passing the GTIN field correclty into the Google Content API. This results in product performance being affected in Google Shopping ads due to missing GTIN reports from Google.

I've checked the API feed in google and indeed the GTIN value is missing.

Our GTIN values entered in Shopify are correct most of the time as taken with a barcode scanner directly from the product packaging. Please fix this issue with the greatest urgency as this is impacting thousands of stores.

In addition there does not seem to be an easy way to pass on shipping attributes/rules in Google Merchant Centre to setup simple shipping rules for shipping rate compliance. Please make it easier for small business owners to comply with key sales channel requirements without additional manual work.

My reply is merely to help you find a solution, and nothing else.

First let me tell you that this issue has existed for over a year now. I doubt this will get fixed any time soon. 

Technically Google has taken over the app since September 2022, but I have not see any signs of progress.

Posting here publicly will most likely not do much, and I recommend contact Shopify Support directly.

As I professionally manage my clients account, I always find solutions to problems. The problem is the app, so to make sure my clients can continue generate sales and make a profit, I use https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds

This app has all the bells and whistles to resolve product identifiers and allows you to add shipping attributes as well. However I always try to replicate the shipping settings manually in Google Merchant Center, this would be the first step to resolving this issue.
