Hi everyone,

I’ve been getting repeat visits from Council Bluffs, Iowa, and it turns out they’re from Shopify’s Online Store Speed Report using Google Lighthouse. While I get the purpose, these daily tests are skewing my analytics and conversion rates since my store has low traffic.

I’d really appreciate if Shopify gave us the option to disable or schedule these tests manually. Anyone else facing this? I’ve contacted support to request control over the frequency.

Would love to hear if others are seeing the same issue.

Thanks!

Hi @shanakht

Yes, many store owners see Council Bluffs as part of recurring visits by Shopify’s automated speed tests. You could try to block this traffic in Google Analytics by excluding the IP range or a custom segment based on location and behavior. This will keep your data nice and clean.

Hi @shanakht

A kind reminder here for this kind of situation:

It is available for you to contact support to request actions like controlling or disabling these daily tests. You can also check other analysis platform and see the overall feedback together. No need to reply on single analytic report only, it is just for your reference.
