How can customers add attachments during purchase for custom items?

Is there a way for our customers to add an attachment when purchasing an item? 
For example, I have custom lighters as a product in my shop, but in order to customize the lighter I would need the picture that my customers would want on it.

When adding a product, the options vary from size, color, and style. I do not see an option for any attachments. 
if anyone could help me figure this out that would be very helpful. Thank you in advance

In order to achieve image upload feature on the product page you can go with two ways: 
1. Install an app (https://apps.shopify.com/upload-lift) and pay monthly charges for that app
2. Get the functionality implemented via custom coding with just one time payment. 
Additionally if you have sufficient coding knowledge then this would be free of cost for you just refer to the below doc in order to implement this https://www.cloudlift.app/blogs/shopify/how-to-add-a-file-upload-on-shopify-product-pages, but if you do not have coding knowledge then you need to hire a developer who can work for you.
