How can I add a product variant option on the cart page?

I sell one product that has 2 variations; I find that sometimes customers have a difficult time getting both variations into the cart. (If they want each color, for example). I know there's a way to add a "Continue shopping" button, but i'd prefer if there was just an option or text that said "would you like to also add ____" ? or just a way for them to select and add my other product right from the cart page. Similar to some pages who have a "Because you bought ____, you may like ______"

Any suggestions??
