How can I add inventory tracking to multiple products?

I have some SPOD items in my store. I didn't set them to track inventory at the time I added them. Not sure why. But, now I am getting orders for items that are out of stock. I need to add track inventory to these items, but there are a lot of them and they all have variants. I don't want to spend the next week doing this. Is there a way I can edit a bunch at the same time? I don't see an option in bulk editor to add "track inventory".

Hello,

My name is Alison, and I'm the Customer Success Specialist for Ablestar apps.  Our Bulk Product Editor app allows you to update any of the product fields in bulk with either an in-app edit, or a spreadsheet edit.  It's a little easier to use than the main Shopify import/export utility, and it has the added benefits of being able to 'undo' edits.

There is also a free version available that allows for 5 free edits every 30 days.  If you have any questions about the app or it's capabilities you can reach us directly at support@ablestar.co.

Best,

Alison

Hi

You you be able to set it in bulk through a csv export and import: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/import-export/using-csv

Variant Inventory Tracker looks to be the column you are after. I would just test on one product first and then when you are happy with results perform a full update of all products.

Tom

1. Go to Products

2. Select All (with the check box)

3. Click 'Bulk Edit' in the pop-up

4. Click 'Columns' (and tick Inventory Quantity)

5 Select all of the cells in the Track Quantity column (click the cell in the first row for the Track Quantity column > scroll to the bottom and then while holding the Shift key, click the cell on the last row of the column)

6. Tick one of the checkboxes
