How can I adjust the opacity of a transparent header?

I have a theme that I can working with that allows for transparent header. However it doesn't allow me to change the opacity of the transparency since I don't want it to be fully transparent, but rather 50% transparent.

I can select a checkbox that says "white header" or "transparent header" and thats that. No way to customize the opacity.

Can someone help?

If there is no such a setting in the theme, then you can set it in the CSS styles of the background-color files: rgba(255,255,255,.5). I hope it will help.
