How can I best manage my growing product inventory?

Hello im start getting bigger with my products and is time to set up an organize method for me to track what i have left what is out of stock and more. and i dont now whats the best option if QR codes if Bar codes if another system and in case which one or how can i get started as im doing this by my own and im a bit lost. 

Any suggestion please?

Shopify offers Inventory tracking, which can help you avoid selling products that have run out of stock, or let you know when you need to order or make more of your product. You can set up inventory tracking, view your inventory, and adjust your inventory levels in the Inventory area of Shopify. If you haven't already, you can check out our getting started guide here.

My next suggestion is to use the inventory scanner from the Shopify mobile app to scan product barcodes and manage your store's inventory on your mobile or tablet device. Doing so, you'll be able to assign a barcode to your existing products, and adjust or set your inventory levels. We also have a guide on this via our help document here.
