How can I change my sub menu background colour to solid white?

my sub menu is overlapping the text underneath, can anyone advise how i change the background colour of this to solid white so it wont show the text underneath?

Definitely need some more information:

What's your theme?
What's your store? That way the code could be look at in developer mode.

You should be able to change your menu background color within the theme settings in almost all themes. There might be more going on there.
