How can I create a multi-link splash screen in Dawn theme?

Hi. I am trying to make a splash screen that opens up and it has 2 images acting as links, maybe with buttons, to go to either collections. 

It is 2 distinct products. 

ive seen some folks share a code for it, i tried to copy/paste it, but i guess it doesnt always work?
