How can I disable pop-ups on Dawn in desktop view?

Ok, I'm having a pop-up/modal show up every time I navigate to a new collection on my page/ every time I click on a product. dawn 7.0

its driving me nuts. I haven't found a toggle bar anywhere to turn off pop-ups on these pages, and I am really resisting getting into and editing the code in my shop. 

is there something I'm missing?? is there a way to stop pop ups ON DESKTOP VIEW (this isn't happening on the phone version)

One way to hide the popup can be through CSS.
