Hi,
I've added a 30% auto discount to a particular range but the discount only shows on the checkout. I'd like it to show on the preview and product detail page (below is just a mock up of how I want it) but cant seem to get this working. I saw a video showing that you change the 'compare at price' as below but it didn't update the front end. The theme i'm using is called Venture.
This seems like a straightforward request so appreciate any feedback.

Hi, @danny_bkk. I'm happy to help you out with this!
To display a sale price you'll want to switch the amounts you've entered for your Price and Compare-at-price. The Price setting should be the current price of the product (the sale price) and the Compate-at-price will be former price of the product (the original price). You can see an example of this setting and how this appears on storefronts below. You can also read more about setting sale prices for products here.

thanks for clarifying this... but ... is there a specific reason why Shopify does it this way?
I've done some searching on this topic and some posts go way back to 2019!
it would be nice to set up an automatic discount which then automatically displays the "%off" label on the product page ...as well as in the checkout page.
as a consumer, its more enticing to buy and add to the cart to see an item discounted right from the product pages...
but theres got to be a reason why shopify doesnt do this... im curious.
