How can I filter customer lists by notes for targeted campaigns?

For a lot of our prior purchase history before shopify, we placed what was purchased in the "note" section. I am trying to segment my customers for targeted email/sms campaigns and cannot figure our how to filter customers by what is typed in the note section. Is there a way to do this?
