Liquid, JavaScript, themes, sales channels
Hi, I have a question: How can I fix my cart error 404 page? When I go to my website and press on the cart, I can see the items I added to the cart before. However, when I press on one of the products and then press 'add to cart,' it takes me to an error 404 page that doesn't exist. Video below, could anyone help me with that?
hello, Rokenzo27.
From what I can see, this is probably some issue with the code of the add to cart button.
I can try investigating it for you, would you share your website link so that I can request collaborator access to do it?
From what I can see, it seems like there is some issue with the ajax functionality (what allows the cart to be updated without refreshing the page). I need to check the code to see if I can fix it
Okay, I'm not that good with codes or anything, but is this solvable and can you fix it even without permission to access the website?
probably solvable, yes, but without permission, not really. But I can request collaborator access to your store, and only request permission to change your themes, and I won't have access to anything else in your admin, I'll just need you to send the store link as it's in your admin. Such as https://app-development.myshopify.com/admin/, the store link is app-development. Not necessarily it's the same name as the normal, public url
Is this the link you need
yes it is! Thanks for finding it. I've sent the request
Yes, thank you. I have given the access.
Is this a custom theme? Or one from the store?
It's from a course that I bought, it's a debutify theme but made more simple for me to set up everything, I have used it before for 3 stores and never had a problem just with this one when I had changed the website language.
I see. Can you install it again in the store, from the file you have, a clean installation, so that I can compare it with this one that is having problems?
Done it now, should be able to see it
You said that for 3 previous stores it worked well? From what I saw, there is a logic issue with the theme. The url the button is trying to get, indeed, doesn't exist. But since they minified the whole file, I am not able to debug it and solve it myself, I would only be able to create a new function from scratch. I'd advise you to get in touch with the theme creators to let them know of that. But you can contact me for my services if you prefer to do your own function
I will try contacting the creators, but I would also like to know how can I get in touch with you?
Hi, @Rokenzo27 , sorry, didn't see this message. You can email me, my email is in my signature. Or dm me in here
