How can I get a two-step product page for personalized items?

I'm hoping to have it set up like this page:

Step one on main product page -> make selection from Shopify variants

Step two on next page -> personalize with details such as name, colors, fonts, etc.

Ideally the step two page would be able to use a personalizer app - I currently use Easify.

It seems obvious that I will need someone to custom build this for me. My main questions are: Is this possible and not too complex? And, what would I expect to pay for someone to build it?

Thanks - not quite what I am looking for. 

I'm looking for a way to customize the product page flow where customers first select the variants and then move to the second step for personalization. When a variant is selected, the customer will click a button like “Personalize” or “Next Step” that directs them to Step 2.  And then ensure the variant and the custom information are correctly passed to the shopping cart.

I've realized, that I'd like the second step tp appear as a modal on the same page.

If anyone has developed something like this or has paid someone to do it, I'd like to know more.
