Hi @Nikhilkothari,

You have to have some knowledge with SEO, HTML, CSS and javascript to do so. When you go to your website, right click on any part of your website to show the "Inspect". A pop up window should show. Click "Lighthouse", then "Analyze page load". Let it run for few minutes. When it is finish, you should have the result with recommendations. Under the Diagnostics, there is a dropdown on each error, if you click the dropdown, it will show you the recommendation. If you are not knowledgeable with the following mentioned above, this will be hard to accomplish.

Hello @Nikhilkothari,

I am Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $7Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

Here are some steps and strategies you can consider to achieve this goal.

- Lazy load images. Lazy loading is a technique that only loads images as they scroll into view. This can help improve your store's performance by reducing the number of images that need to be loaded at once.

- Reduce large image sizes. Images are one of the biggest factors that can slow down a website. Compressing your images or using a tool like TinyPNG can help reduce their file size without sacrificing quality.

- Start by optimizing your website speed, which involves compressing and optimizing images while using a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to deliver content faster.

- Enable browser caching and opt for a fast, responsive theme that works well on both desktop and mobile devices.

- Limit third-party JavaScript and Shopify apps. Third-party JavaScript and Shopify apps can also slow down your store. Only install the apps that you need and disable any unused apps.

- Cache your store's pages. Caching stores pages in memory can help improve performance by reducing the number of times that pages need to be reloaded.

- Enhance user experience (UX) by improving navigation and using clear call-to-action (CTA) buttons.

- Monitor analytics using tools like Google Analytics to track user behavior and identify areas for improvement.

- Make regular updates to your website to stay aligned with the latest best practices and technologies.

- Remember that improving performance is an ongoing process requiring consistent analysis and data-driven decisions.

- Prioritize mobile optimization, as a large portion of traffic comes from mobile devices.

- Ensure your store is mobile-responsive and test its speed using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights.

Hello Nikhilkothari,

Thanks for reaching out to the community.

Well, SEO is one of the best ways to enhance the performance of your website. Let me list out some of the basics of SEO that you should ensure on your website:

  1. Conduct SEO Audit: Conduct an SEO Audit for your website to assess it on the basis of SEO factors. This audit can help you ascertain various SEO-related issues on your website, and eventually fix and optimize these issues to improve the SEO score of your website.
  2. Keyword Research: Carry out keyword research for your website to determine what words and phrases are often used by web users to carry out their research on the search engines that are related to your business or offered products. You can add these keywords in title tags, meta descriptions, URLs, page titles, content, image file name and alt text, anchor text, etc. This can help your website rank better on the search engine results page (SERP).
    • Pro Tip: Assure to understand the intent of the users or your target audience to optimize the process of keyword research.
  3. Enhance Site Structure: Site structure refers to how you organize the content of your website. You must enhance the site structure by ensuring the consistency of the font format of heading tags and adding visuals to the website. This can allow the users to easily scan through the website, without actually reading its content; thus, contributing to improving the user experience.
  4. Optimize Title Tag and Meta Description: You can optimize title tag and meta description by adding at least one keyword to them and ensuring to limit the characters in them. For the title tag, the recommended length is 40-60 characters, while for the meta description, the recommended length is 120-160 characters. As the title tag and meta description exceed the recommended length end in ellipses; thus, they fail to provide complete information to the users.
  5. Optimize Images: You can optimize the images by:
    • Compressing their file size to reduce their loading time
    • Adding keywords to their file name and alt text to help them rank better on SERP and improve the visibility of the website on the search engine.
    • Ensure to add the alt text for the images, which provides images’ context to the search engine crawlers, who cannot see the images.
    • Additionally, alt text explains the context of the images to the users, if the image takes too long to load.
  6. Fix Broken Links and Errors on the Website: Ensure that you fix all the broken links on the website, as broken links or ‘Error 404 Not Found’ can hamper user experience and increase the bounce rate of the website. Thus, closely assess the website to identify and fix all the errors on the website.
  7. Optimize URL Structure: You can optimize the URL by adding a keyword to it to explain the context of the URL or where it shall direct the traffic, and also keep the length of the URL short, as it makes it easy for the users to share the URL with their peers.
  8. Enable Rich Snippets: Rich Snippets helps in optimizing the snippet of the website by providing additional information about the website and its content on SERP, which helps the website to stand out on the results page. You can add:
    • Product Markup Snippet (Product availability, count, name, description, price, offers, SKU, URL, and images)
    • FAQs Snippet
    • Review Snippet
    • Home Page Snippet
  9. Make Use of Google Analytics: Google Analytics provides quantifiable data about your website, like traffic, conversions, orders, and revenues from various channels, demographics of the visitors, bounce rate, session length of the users, and many more. Thus, with the help of Google Analytics, you can make data-driven decisions, which are more effective.
  10. Optimize Page Speed: Good page speed is favored by both search engine crawlers and users; thus, to enhance your performance, you shall improve the page speed of your website. Here is a list of suggestions to help you improve the page speed of your website:
    • Compress images’ file size
    • Implement AMP
    • Remove unused JavaScript and CSS
    • Use a light-weight Shopify theme
    • Implement lazy loading for advertisements
    • Use GZIP for textual compression of JavaScript and CSS
    • Enable browser caching
  11. Focus on Link Building: Link building or getting backlinks from trusted web sources or websites can help enhance the credibility and visibility of the website on digital platforms. The best way of getting optimum backlinks is by creating high-quality informative content that people wish to share with their peers.
  12. Local SEO: Local SEO is the process of optimizing the website for the locals or the people in certain territorial regions. You can carry out this process by:
    • Customizing the website to meet the needs or preferences of the people in that local region
    • Using the keywords that are ranking high in those regions
    • Ensuring consistency and correctness of NAP to enhance the effectiveness of the backlinks from local directories that feature your business.
  13. Enhance User-engagement on Social Media: Social media is the best platform to interact with your customers and better understand them. On these platforms, you get to connect with your customer base on a more personal level and build trust among them, which is expected to help you improve the conversions of your website.
  14. Encourage Customers to Post Positive Testimonials: This is one way of keeping the customers engaged with your business, and also creating a positive image of the business on digital platforms.
  15. Collaborate with Suppliers/Distributors/Partners: It can help your business to enhance its reach and get better exposure on the digital platform, which can help in getting diverse customers on the website.

Hope it helps!
