How can I include a custom checkout code in the Dawn Theme 2.0's cart.liquid file?

Our store is currently using an older theme where we've added a code in the cart.liquid file for us to have a custom checkout page (Checkout Champ). Now, we're trying to switch to the Dawn theme but we just noticed that the cart.liquid file is missing in this theme. We're wondering where we could include the code for us to retain our custom checkout page.
