Hello @NP2023,

I am Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot. Hope you are having a good day.

Improving the site speed on mobile is crucial for providing a smooth user experience and optimizing conversions. I have a few suggestions to enhance your Shopify store's mobile performance.

1. Compress and optimize your images to reduce their file size without sacrificing quality. Large image files can significantly impact loading times. You can use image optimization tools like TinyPNG.

2. Reduce the number of HTTP requests by combining multiple CSS and JavaScript files into one. You can use a tool like GTmetrix or Google PageSpeed Insights to identify the specific files causing the most requests and work on minimizing them.

3. Leverage browser caching to store static resources, such as CSS, JavaScript, and images, locally on visitors' devices. This allows subsequent page visits to load faster. In Shopify, browser caching is automatically enabled, but you can verify this in your settings.

4. Review your theme and code to identify any inefficiencies or unnecessary scripts that might be slowing down your site. Remove unused code, minimize CSS and JavaScript files, and ensure your theme is lightweight and optimized for speed.

5. Consider using a lightweight and fast-loading theme optimized for mobile performance. Shopify offers a wide range of responsive themes, and choosing one specifically designed for speed can greatly enhance your mobile site performance.

6. Consider Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) which is a framework that creates stripped-down versions of your web pages, specifically designed for quick loading on mobile devices. Implementing AMP can improve your mobile site speed significantly. Shopify has AMP integration options and apps available in their app store.

7. Evaluate the apps installed on your store and remove any that are not essential. Each app you install can add extra code and increase page load times. Remove any unused or redundant apps to streamline your site.

If you've already tried multiple speed apps without success, it's worth focusing on the above optimization techniques to address the specific issues impacting your mobile site speed.

@NP2023 : Instead of going for an app to improve speed we recommend that you shall update your theme applying optimization technics.

Generally mobile speed score will be done if :

1. Too many dom elements.

2. Too many JS files in inline js ( this increases TBT )

3. In theme instead of CSS use of JS to handle layout

4. While creating theme if we don't take proper care of image size( should be device specific )

From your screen shot I can see TBT is very high plus FCP is also high indicating too many JS in place.

Hello,

Improving site speed on mobile is crucial for enhancing user experience and maximizing your mobile traffic potential. If you've already tried several speed apps without seeing any improvement, there are still a few steps you can take to optimize your mobile site speed. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Evaluate Third-Party Apps: Review installed apps and consider removing or replacing any that add unnecessary code and slow down your mobile site.
  2. Fix Render Blocking:

    • Optimize CSS: Minimize and optimize CSS code, combine files, and consider inlining critical CSS.
    • JavaScript Placement: Place JavaScript files at the bottom of the HTML document, just before the closing </body> tag.
    • Asynchronous and Deferred Loading: Use 'async' or 'defer' attributes for JavaScript files.
    • Critical Resource Prioritization: Load critical resources inline or before non-critical resources.
    • Lazy Loading: Implement lazy loading for images and non-critical assets.

It's important to note that addressing render blocking may require technical expertise. If you're not comfortable making these changes yourself, consider reaching out to a Shopify expert or a developer who can assist you in implementing these optimizations correctly.
