Hi @Vantego ,

It's difficult to optimize the Shopify store speed without the help of experts. If still want to optimize the speed of your website by yourself then I will give you some tips to make your website performance better

:

1) Make sure to optimize the images especially the banner/slideshow images and reduce the size to 100kb-200kb.

2) Use the lazyload script to lazyload the images, gifs and videos.

3) Go to the theme edit -> theme.liquid . Now check all the lines of code one by one and search for the apps which you deleted and no longer using and remove the code of these apps.

These are some basic tips which you can easily implement to make your website performance better.

Hey, @Vantego

Thank you for reaching out!

Several factors impact your online store speed; there are some of which you can control and some of which you can’t. If you would like to try and improve your store speed without the help of an expert, I recommend:

  • Apps: uninstalling any apps or app features you do not use allows your store to load faster on the user's end.
  • Theme: disable theme features you do not use and consider using a system font. I recommend consulting with your theme developer if you have a third-party theme.
  • Images and videos: reduce your image sizes, as oversized images can interfere with loading important parts of a page, adding to a slower store speed.

If you’re not comfortable making these changes or do not see much change to your store speed after. I recommend hiring a Shopify expert to help you.
