How can I increase my website speed without adding plugins?

Hi Shopify Community!!!

I own a Shopify website with hundreds of products on it. In pagespeed insight its speed is very low. I want to increase its speed but when I try to add any plugin, an error pop up and I'm unable to add any plugin into my website. My developers have developed these plugins and there's no issue in plugins but I don't know what's exactly the issue is?
