Hello @nandlalinks61,
Good day! Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $7Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
Improving the speed of your Shopify site is essential for providing a positive user experience and potentially boosting your search engine rankings. Here are some steps you can take to increase the speed of your Shopify site.
-> Opt for a lightweight and well-coded theme. Some themes are better optimized for speed than others.
-> Reduce unused JavaScript and defer loading scripts until they are required to decrease bytes consumed by network activity.
-> Use compressed and properly sized images. Shopify has built-in tools to help you compress images without losing quality.
-> Third-party code can significantly impact load performance. Limit the number of redundant third-party providers and try to load third-party code after your page has primarily finished loading.
-> A CDN distributes your site's assets (images, scripts, stylesheets) across multiple servers around the world, reducing the distance between the user and the server and thereby improving load times.
-> Excessive redirects can slow down your site. Limit the use of redirects and ensure they are used only when necessary.
-> Leverage browser caching to store static resources on a user's computer, reducing the need to download them again on subsequent visits.
-> Enable Gzip compression to reduce the size of your CSS, JavaScript, and HTML files.
-> A slow server response time can significantly affect your site's speed. Consider using a reliable and fast hosting provider.
-> Ensure text remains visible during webfont load. Leverage the font-display CSS feature to ensure text is user-visible while webfonts are loading.
-> Search engines may use href attributes on links to crawl websites. Ensure that the href attribute of anchor elements links to an appropriate destination, so more pages of the site can be discovered.
-> Implement lazy loading for images and videos so that they only load when they come into the user's viewport.
-> Many users access Shopify stores from mobile devices. Ensure that your site is optimized for mobile speed and usability.
-> Regularly monitor your site's speed using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or Pingdom. Test different optimizations to see their impact.
