How can I make my checkout button font more visible?

I'm setting up my online store and noticed that from my cart the checkout button is barely noticeable. Same with the continue shopping button from the cart page. This is not the button I want my customers searching for! Could anyone help me get these buttons to match the other buttons throughout my store? Below are two screenshots of the problem.
