How can I modify the product URL format in Shopify?

I am currently in the process of transferring my woocommerce store to shopify. It is important for SEO that I use the same urls for my products. With Woocommerce it used /product/ and with shopify it used /products/. My question is how do I change it on shopify to /product/ as well?

For the online sales channel you do not , the url structure is prescribed.

Your transfer process should include setting up 301 redirects to point old urls to the new ones.

The only alternative if merchants want full control over the entire url structure and to be managing their own hosting and server maintenance and create & setup their own website code is to go headless with the storefront api.

My name is Alison, I'm the Customer Success Specialist for Ablestar apps. 

You cannot change the URL structure in Shopify, but you can create redirects from the old URLs to the new Shopify URLs.

Our WooCommerce Importer app comes with a 30 day trial of our Link Manager app.  The Link Manager can automatically create redirects for all products and collections migrated via the WooCommerce Importer.

The Link Manager can also scan the Shopify site to find any bad URLs that may be contained inside the product descriptions, collections headings, or other pages. These cannot be automatically redirected, but the app will list them and help you redirect or correct them.

While installed, the Link Manager will also monitor the site and list and 'page not found' errors as they occur.  This is helpful for identifying URLs that may exist in old marketing emails or bookmarks customers may have saved, or that may still be indexed in web searches.

The first 20 products migrated with the WooCommerce Importer are free, so you can test the app out without incurring any costs.
