Hi,
My checkout page shows a link to a subscription policy (prefilled with the Shopify Template). However, I do not offer any subscription policy and haven't filled any text or clicked on any button regarding a subscription policy. My shop page shows correctly the policies that do apply to my shop (Privacy Policy, Terms of Sale, Terms of Use and Contact information) while on my checkout page this subscription policy is wrongfully added. I'm not able to find a reference to a subscription policy via the settings/policies buttons in order to change/remove this. Any idea how I can remove this subscription policy on the checkout page? To remove the subscription policy link from the checkout page in your Shopify store, you'll need to adjust the settings in the Shopify admin panel. Here's how you can remove the subscription policy:
From your Shopify admin panel, go to "Settings" and click on "Checkout."
Scroll down to the "Order processing" section.
Look for the "Refund policy" option. By default, the "Refund policy" field is used to display the subscription policy on the checkout page.
Clear the content in the "Refund policy" field. Remove any pre-filled template text or any other content that refers to a subscription policy.
Thank you for your reply. However, the section "order processing" under "checkout" doesn't contain any "refund policy" option. Also, in the admin panel, under "settings" and then "policies" the policies that do not apply (including the "refund policy") are already all empty and are therefore not shown on the shop page. I seem to be able to change the name of the subscription policy in the "theme content" but I would like to delete it entirely. Would appreciate any other suggestions. Thank you.
I need help removing the subscription policy since I do not use it. Even though the policy field is empty, the policy still appears in the checkout footer. And there is no "Refund policy" option in the "Order processing" section..
im having the exact same issue as these others, cant get subscription policy off of the checkout footer, this has to hurt conversions. especailly since these products are not subscription products.

Hi! Any luck with this? We're having the same issue - need to edit the policy but can't find this anywhere in the admin.
Took me a while to realise but it's actually connected to the purchase options cancellation policy in settings > policies, if it's left blank if shows the default shopify template in there instead
To change the wording on the link itself if you go to online store > themes then click on the 3 dots next to the live theme and choose 'edit default content' .
If you then search for subscription policy in here you can change the link wording to be more reflective of the content you drop in the policies area
If you go into theme content, you can just leave a blank space in the "Subscription policy" field to remove it from checkout.
