How can I remove an item from the main menu?

Hi, help somebody please, in footer and main menu BUTTON DELETE DOESN'T WORK, how to remove Item from menu?

To confirm, are these the buttons you're meaning:

If so, I've tested this on my own store and the buttons seem to be functioning properly. Because of this, you can go through the following steps to troubleshoot this issue on your end:

 

  • Try to access your Shopify admin via an incognito window
  • Or, you can use your usual browser but to clear the browser's cookies and cache
  • You can also try another browser. For example, if you're using Safari, you can try accessing the website preview on Chrome or Firefox
  • You can also try to use another device, such as your mobile or a tablet

***THIS POST IS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS SIMILAR ISSUES***

 

Hello,

 

We are an agency who builds websites on Shopify www.rhemadevelopment.com and had a client who ran into a similar issue. Shopify support suggested to clear the cookies and cache as is the first step in troubleshooting any issue. Especially since the problem cannot be duplicated on their end. 

 

One of our clients did all of this and even went from Chrome to FireFox and Microsoft Edge browsers with the issue still being present. They even uninstalled and reinstalled their browsers and nothing changed. 

 

They also were unable to click on Create New Page Template in the theme >Online Store >Themes >Customize >Homepage (Middle Dropdown Button) >Pages >Create Template

 

They contacted us and we asked them to check and see if they have any VPN software installed on their computer. The client said yes and we instructed them to go to the settings of their VPN and disable popup blocker. 

 

After they did this all buttons in Shopify admin worked. 

 

Why did VPN software prevent buttons from working?

 

The buttons in the Shopify Admin worked correctly. Some of the buttons in the Shopify Admin function in away that allows a popup to display without taking a user to a new page. This is the case for these two instances. The popup was being blocked by the VPN and was not allowed to display. The VPN's function is to assist in protecting a user from unwanted activity. Per the functionality of the VPN, it was working correctly. 

 

Without going into detail on all the buttons that display a popup after being clicked, for there are many. 

 

Please make sure you check your browser pop-up blocker, VPN settings, and also clear the cookies and cache. If after all of this, nothing changes and Shopify Staff cannot duplicate your issue.
