How can I resolve checkout issues in my online store?

before you start

check if this solution will work for you

1: add item to cart

2: enter it in your browser,   your domain/chekcout 

 

 

Edit your Cart page form action from '/cart' to '/checkout'

 

1: Online store > themes > Actions > Edit code > sections > cart-template.liquid

search <form action=" 

if you are using Dawn, then it's in 'main-cart-items.liquid' and 'cart-drawer.liquid'

remember to back up your theme, and waiting for shopify fix this issues 🙂 

 

I have not removed 'Google Tag Manager' and it still work (just changing the form action ), so you can keep it as you like

the file that needs to be changed is cart_widget.liquid

Then - theme settings and disable the "Cart view" button.

It works, but i have a drawer cart, when i press checkout in the drawer it still redirects me to a Cart page and Then when i click checkout it works. But it should already do so in the drawer cart when pressing checkout

@Andre439439 find the drawer cart file and look for the <button> that says checkout.  Add value="checkout" to it.  Please send a screenshot and I can verify when I see the code.

Thanks for that @Kani - very helpful in a stressful time!

It would be plain good customer service if in the future @Shopify would simply notify store owners when critical issues such as this arise - ie through the Shopify dashboard or email notification, etc. Regardless of whether all store owners may be having the issue. After spending the majority of my day trying to figure out what I may have done to cause the breaking of my checkout function in the few days left of Father's Day shopping, I happened to only coincidently stumble upon the fact that it was actually a Shopify "known" technical issue. So much time, money (eg Ads) and stress could be saved for so many store owners if there was just a pretty simple notification. We'd do it for our customers, why can't they?

I noticed a drastic decline in my sale since August. A lot of my abandoned checkout is because they are unable to checkout. Please I will appreciate immediate help here as I am spending too much on ads without results. It's more painful when customers say that they are unable to check out. Hello can you help me , my check out page don't work everything else is perfect but when my client check on check out it's loading only and didn't get any thing for some one and for another client the website doesn't work and says there was a problem loading for this website and refresh the page
