Hello. I’m trying to ass my products to Google but it’s says that they have error and they need gtin mpn. My suppliers are zendrop and CJdropshipping but they don’t give those numbers. I saw a lot posts about this but I couldn’t find what to do. Can anyone help?
See this article https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324478?sjid=16926776345918052889-EU
To do this you will likely need to set this field up as a product metafield
More instructions about where exactly I’m changing this ?
thanks
Shopify Help is an amazing resource, you'll find most stuff you need there :
1) If a manufacturer has assigned a barcode then you are required to add this info in the GTIN field. Alongside the brand value with identifier exists to yes.
The rule is as followed
1) If a manufacturer has assigned a barcode then you are required to add this info in the GTIN field. Alongside the brand value with identifier exists to yes.
2) If the manufacturer has not assigned a barcode, then remove the values brand, mpn and gtin and set identifier exists to no.
Here is a guide how to apply the rules using feed rules: https://support.google.com/google-ads/community-video/216954171

Hi @mihalis19
If your products do not have GTIN, you can leave the column empty or mark the products as custom products. You can refer to the help article: https://blog.adnabu.com/google-merchant-center/how-to-fix-gtin-errors/
Please let me know if it solves your issue.

I’m selling products from CJdropshipping and zendrop. I believe that products have a barcode but the supplier don’t give this info. So one solution is to mark products as custom like you said. But where can I do this? Can you give me some infos ?
thanks
You do this on the product level > more action > Google >
However you will find it much faster and accurate to follow my video above, if you want to resolve the issue.
Thanks I will check it asap
Ok! I saw the guide and it was helpful. trhe only change is that in the last part in identifier exists the menu is little different. i cant set the value. i can only stadralize yes with no. is this correct?
now im getting this error. how can i fix this?
You’ve submitted a value of False for the [identifier_exists] attribute for this product but this product has an internationally recognized unique identifier. Submit a valid GTIN, and either set this value to True or remove this value to resolve this issue.
thanks
That is correct yes.
