How can I set up per-item shipping on Shopify?

I've searched high and low for a workaround for this but why does Shopify not have an option for shipping PER ITEM?!
Literally every other platform has this very easy option.
I sell very large items and if someone orders multiple of the same size it only charges for one shipping fee.

I've tried to set it up by weight but then it double and triple charges if they order a bunch of different sizes/weights. I have in invoice for additional shipping which is annoying.

Any plans to fix this shopify?

I sell dog cages in 6 different sizes and each size has a different shipping expense which i mostly have it to work by a shipping profile for each size. where i get issues is if someone orders two of the same size.
