How can I stop automatic variant selection on my product page?

Hello there, i have a little issue and tried everything to solve it but no success yet 

when the product page load it choose variant automatically 

and i want to turn that off hope someone can help me.

It's default features of the shopify.
why are you wants to unselect on the page load?

Can you please explain why its needed?

thanks for your reply, i want it because when one product goes to out of stock it still chooses the variant and it seems like something is wrong
