Good afternoon. Please tell me I ran into a problem migrating a site from Webflow to Shopify. Used to transfer Udesly. The problem is that my site needs additional blocks for product information in the product card, which, unfortunately, is not available in Shopify. I decided to create a CMS Collection in Webflow, but could not transfer it to Shopify. Please tell me how to fix the problem. Thanks for the answer
You need to utilize product metafields to import data in bulk. Matrixify is a nice solution, assuming you can export content out of Webflow into something like a CSV. Accentuate could be another good option.
Hey @michael-helium
Thank you for suggesting Matrixify app!
@Alex382 - such additional fields in Shopify indeed would be stored as Metafields. Here you can see Shopify manuals about Metafields and how to use them in your store.
The best approach here would be to first set it up manually in Shopify for at least one product. So that you know what metafields you need and have it set up in your store's theme.
Once you have this set up for one Product, you could export it using our app to see how it would look in the exported file - what column headers would be used and data structure for the values. We also have a great tutorial on how to bulk manage Metafields with Matrixify.
Then you would just need to get this data from the current platform into a spreadsheet file, convert that file to our template with correct column headers and import with our app.
If you have any questions or concerns along the way - let us know!
Good afternoon! If you are facing issues with migrating your site from Webflow to Shopify and need additional blocks for product information on the product card, I can provide some guidance.
To address this problem, you have a few potential options:
Shopify Customization: Explore the customization options within Shopify to see if you can create custom product information blocks using Shopify's built-in features or through the use of Shopify apps and plugins.
Custom Shopify Theme Development: Consider hiring a Shopify developer or agency to create a custom Shopify theme that matches your website's design and includes the additional blocks you need for product information.
Rebuilding the Product Card: If the blocks you need are unique and cannot be achieved through standard Shopify features, you may need to recreate the product card design using Shopify's Liquid templating language and HTML/CSS.
Explore Shopify Apps: Look for Shopify apps that offer additional product information features. Some third-party apps may provide the functionality you need, saving you time on custom development.
External Integrations: Explore external services that can connect Webflow and Shopify, allowing you to display Webflow CMS Collection content within your Shopify store.
Contact Udesly Support: Reach out to Udesly support to see if they can provide guidance or solutions for transferring CMS Collections from Webflow to Shopify.
Remember that each approach has its own complexity and may require technical expertise. It's essential to carefully assess your requirements, budget, and timeline before deciding on the best solution for your specific needs. If you encounter technical challenges beyond your expertise, consider seeking assistance from experienced developers or agencies to ensure a smooth migration and implementation of the additional product information blocks on your Shopify store.
