How can I successfully transfer new ownership on a developer store?

Hi everyone my name is Wick from Lalarr Shoplink development department, we have new partner to join, this website is our brand new business, so we use the developer store to create this website to run our new business, now the website will be launching in end of this month, so we want to change our new partner to be come new store owner, so now we want transfer the ownership what I should do , I already add new owner to full permission staff but when I click transfer ownership system can't make it , someone can show me step-by-step how to do it please .

I understand that you are looking to transfer your development store to your partner. This is definitely possible directly from your Partner Dashboard. You mentioned that you already created the staff account for your partner, but you need to ensure that the staff account setup is fully completed before you can transfer store ownership to them. Feel free to check out our considerations before transferring, and here are the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Partner Dashboard, and click Stores.

  2. Click Transfer ownership beside the development store that you want to transfer.

  3. On the Transfer store ownership dialog, select the new owner from the list of eligible owners.

  4. When you're done, click Transfer store. The store now appears on the Stores page in your Partner Dashboard under the Managed tab. The new owner receives an email with instructions to create the account and select a plan.

Hello, this did not work for me, I don't even have that option. Can you please help me understand how I can transfer the store into a new owner?

Based on the first screenshot, it appears that you are unable to transfer the shop due to the message indicating that your access has been removed. This restriction prevents you from making any changes. However, based on the second screenshot, it is possible that you have not completed the staff account setup, which is causing the option to transfer store ownership to be blocked.

 

Please proceed with completing the staff account setup and let me know if that resolves the issue. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or need additional assistance.

Hey I am Masonchuk  store owner of highnlow.shop, I have contacted Shopify, but I am trying to see if maybe you have any advice for me. I am only 17 and had our first sale, I came to realize I had to be 18 to run the store and accept payments. I have a business partner and when I try to transfer ownership of the store to him so we can continue with our business, it gives me an error “you have a balance and have to contact Shopify”  and doesn’t let me type in his name email or anything to transfer ownership. I can’t accept the payment because I have to update my details and I’m not 18 so doing that does nothing. I tried refunding the order so the account would be at 0 and so I could transfer ownership but that didn’t help me either.
