How can I urgently correct my profile birthdate error?

I got a notification that my birthdate is incorrect on my profile when i uploaded my State ID.  I need to change it to my correct birth date which is 11/21/2007 and not 11/21/2001.

Can I confirm if this is in relation to your Shopify Payments account? 

 

For ID verification, as this is handled by a specialized internal team, to update your date of birth we'll need you to firstly contact our live support team so that we can then escalate your request to the most appropriate specialized team.

 

We won't be able to do this via the Community Forums, due to security and privacy reasons, so to get in touch with our internal team, you'll need to login to your store via our Help Center here. Once logged in, select a topic that best fits your query or situation. From there, you'll be taken to a page with a list of relevant support articles, and you can scroll to the bottom of that page to select your preferred contact method with our team. Our internal team will then be able to further assist you from there.

 

Also, for your information, our Terms of Service states that to open a store on Shopify you'll either need to be 18 years of age or at least the age of majority in the jurisdiction where you reside in. 

Because of this, if you don't currently meet our age requirement, you'll need to do the following on your store:

 

  1. Change the account owner of your store to your parent or guardian by following the steps found here.
  2. You'll then be able to leave yourself listed as a staff account for the store, as described here.
  3. Your parent or guardian will need to add their credit card as the billing method for the store, which they can do by following these instructions.
  4. Keep in mind that once you meet our age requirement, you can update the account owner of the store back to yourself.
