''A shop or customer can create an unlimited number of carts. Unused and abandoned carts automatically expire within 10 days of creation.''
This is far from ideal and we cannot continue to run our store on this platform when carts are expiring after 10 days. Many of our customers build up their carts over a period of time that exceeds 10 days. It is unacceptable for customers to tell me that £1,500's worth of stock has disappeared from their cart after 10 days. Moreso, I have never known such a terrible feature since dealing with web shops. I build up my cart over the course of weeks with other supplier (not Shopify).
As a last resort before we proceed with some kind of switch - is there anything at all that can be done to stop this terrible feature from emptying baskets after 10 days? Never known anything like it. Thanks in advance.
Hi key
Yes, you can build or hire someone to build a persistence feature for store which will keep the cart in their account.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Hello,
I appreciate your response - thank you!
I forgot to mention that I have had 4 people work on it in the past which have all ended up saying it just isn't possible, although I appreciated their efforts!
When you say it's possible, how sure are you of this? Have you had it done or successfully performed this feature for others?
Yes, already did a project but that website is their employee only. I can share the credentials if you could connect via WhatsApp.
Client secrecy is first thing for me and to check the persistence feature you have to be login in their system.
