How can you view full gift card codes and customize their values and emails?

Dear Community, 

I have three questions: 

1 - How do I see the full voucher code, when I user buys a gift card in a shop. Sometimes the issue occurs, that the user don't have the e-mail with the code anymore. Then I need to check their user in the shopify back-end and be able to see the full gift card number so I can tell them. 

2 - Is there a possibility to set gift cards with changable value. E.g.: a user an enter the amount of the gift card him-/herself. 

3 - Is the an option to send a custom e-mail when a user buys a gift card? As the information regarding the gift card differs from a normal purchase.

1 - How do I see the full voucher code, when I user buys a gift card in a shop.

Unfortunately, it's not possible due to security reasons. I think the workaround for you is to find a gift card, disable it and reissue a new one with the same balance. You'll be able to see a gift code right after creating a gift card.

2 - Is there a possibility to set gift cards with changable value.

No, unfortunately, it's not possible with standard functionality

3 - Is the an option to send a custom e-mail when a user buys a gift card?

Order confirmation email will be the same. Apart from that user should get a gift card email. The template can be adjusted in Settings -> Notifications -> Gift card created

Regarding point #2, there's an app Gift Card Hero. As far as I know this feature is in the roadmap and will be available in January, 22. Apart from that there're a lost of features extending standard Shopify functionality like schedule send directly to a recipient, attach a greeting message, check gift card balance and more.
