How do I eliminate duplicate URLs causing SEO issues?

I was using a language switcher and translator app that is now installed, however; my store has been left with a bunch of URL's that are duplicates of the same content and is causing SEO issues. How do I get rid of these extra urls?

EX: mywebsite.com/fr/collections, mywebsite.com/es/collections, mywebsite.com/jp/collections, etc.....

hi there,

it took me a lil while but i worked out how to remove all the en-us URLs from my store. it was killing my SEO score, which was 52 and after i removed the en-us links it went up to 85 instantly.  

here’s how i did it: (please note i am using an ipad)

-in settings go to markets

-a list of all your foreign markets comes up with their stats

-my issue was en-us so i went to the section marked as America 

-after tapping on that section, a new page opens and the first box is named ‘market settings’. beneath that is ‘domains and languages’.

-tap on that and make sure the first option, ‘primary domain only’, is checked.  

-if other languages were also an issue, i am guessing repeating the same process would work. 

im not very tech minded, so if anyone find an easier way or if i didn’t explain something well, please feel free to help further explain.
