So I'm extremely confused. I paid for my store to be set up through BrandAfy, and I was under the impression it was for dropshipping. When my store was created there was product already in my store, do I make profit from these products that are purchased through my online store? Any and all information concerning this particular subject and/or dropshipping on shopify would be highly appreciated.
Hey, @Juggyrayy.
I'm not familiar with BrandAfy, but after looking at their website it looks like they will include products into your store to allow you to simply launch your website once they've finished building it.
So it sounds like you should be all set up and ready to start selling, but if you have any queries or concerns you're best to contact the BrandAfy team directly as they will be in the best position to answer any questions you have about their service.
When it comes to dropshipping in Shopify though, this business model allows you to sell products on your store with the help of a supplier. When a customer places an order on your store, you'll purchase the products from the supplier, and they will then ship the products directly to the customer. This means that you don't need to stock any of the inventory, or ship the products yourself!
If I'm understanding correctly, the BrandAfy team has perhaps already connected your store with a dropshipping supplier, so you'll need to figure out (and perhaps query them) about what the order processing will look like. As different dropshipping suppliers have their own respective ways of fulfilling and processing orders, you'll need to familiarise yourself on what this procedure looks like so that you're aware of the tasks (if any) that you'll need to complete on your end. This could be sending your customers their order confirmation or shipping confirmation emails, for example.
Apart from the above, seeing as you're starting your journey as a dropshipping business, the biggest tip that I have for you is to verify the products on your store, before you go ahead and sell them to your customers. You can do this by creating a test order on your store, which will allow you to not only check for the quality of the products from your suppliers, but also their shipping time. Feel free to have a read of our blogs below for more information on this, as well as other tips to further optimise your dropshipping strategies:
