Hi @JH54

Thank you for reaching out here.

It sounds like you are trying to change some DNS settings on a domain. Can you clarify the current domain host for this domain - is it managed in Shopify, or GoDaddy?

You mentioned that there are 'A Lines' on the domain that came from Shopify, and you want to know how to remove them in GoDaddy. Based on this information, I am assuming you have purchased the domain on Shopify, but then transferred it out to GoDaddy and are wondering how to remove A Records?

If the domain is currently managed on GoDaddy, then you will need to edit the DNS settings from your GoDaddy account. There should be a section there when you can manage the DNS settings for the domain. I checked on their website and found this guide here that you can follow along with. If you are attempting to use this domain on Shopify by connecting it to your store, then this resource here will be a handy reference for you.

If you are having trouble deleting those DNS settings, then you may need to contact their customer support team for assistance. They should be able to help you remove any records you wish so you can set up your CNAME record correctly. Also it's important to note that DNS changes may take some time to propagate, so you may need to wait a few hours before your CNAME record is fully operational.

Let me know if this addressed your query - if not just provide some extra context about your situation, so that I can better support you in follow up replies. Feel free to share some more info about your store on Shopify - I would be happy to provide some advice and guidance here!

Rick: I had GoDaddy remove the offending A lines and restored my website’s IP address. 24 hours later, my website www.johnhoda.com <> is still not loading. As such Store.johnhoda.com <> can’t be verified by Shopify. Is there any code I can’t see in Shopify that is the culprit.

Hi @JH54

Thanks for getting back.

From what I can tell, the www.johnhoda.com domain is working fine, and I am seeing no issues there. It is currently not connected to Shopify, is that correct? The DNS settings do not appear to be associated with Shopify - is this the intended behavior?

I navigated to store.johnhoda.com and it appears to be functioning as normal also. I can access your store, and I am not seeing any errors or warning messages. I checked the DNS settings, and it appears that the A Record and CNAME are pointing to Shopify and are functioning OK.

Can you confirm what sort of verification errors you are seeing? Are they in your Shopify admin Settings > Domains section? Feel free to share any relevant screenshots here, and we can troubleshoot this further.
