How do I remove reviews section? I am using 3rd party reviews

Can someone tell me how to remove the built in review section? I no longer need it as I am using a 3rd party review app. Thanks so much!

To remove the built-in review section from your Shopify theme, you'll need to make some modifications to the theme's code. Here are the steps to do it:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to "Online Store" and click on "Themes".

2. Locate the current theme you're using and click on "Actions" > "Edit Code".

3. In the left sidebar, under "Sections", click on the "product-template.liquid" file.

Comment out or delete the above line of code to remove the built-in review section. It should look like this:

Thanks for posting. I hope your day is going well!

The way in which you will remove the third-party reviews from your theme will depend on how they were originally enabled. Did you have to add any custom code? If not, you can simply delete/uninstall the app in question and it will remove the reviews.

However, if you needed to add code, you would need to remove the added code. If you can provide the app you used I can dig a bit to see where the code was added.

Thanks for the reply - I am actually trying to disable the built in shopify reviews as I am using a 3rd party review platform (Vitals) Is there a way to do this?

Attention shopify:

Many businesses do NOT want your reviews!

Stop adding things that your vendors don't want.

Why? Because the way you have the "reviews" now, it makes it susceptible to sabotage - this was the reason some people LEFT amazon to begin with!

Now that you have a ton of chinese signing up on your platform, you're copying amazon!

The OP asked the question: HOW to disable your "reviews" and we're still waiting for the answer!
