How do I sell a digital subscription that unlocks access to a mobile app?

My goal is to sell a subscription membership service on Shopify.

The membership gives users access to content on a custom mobile app.

The user creates an account during checkout.

1. How do I use the account made during checkout to login to a custom mobile app?

2. How can I check a user's subscription status in the mobile app? (is subscription still active?)
