How does Miniorange SSO alter existing customer passwords?

Hi,

How miniorange is able to change the existing customer password who created using email and password?I have noticed that if the email of customer is same as that of gmail then miniorange changes the password to some random string. Now the customer can't login using normal password.

The admin API doesnt allow changing the password and also a customer can only change the password using forgot password link.

I don't understand how miniOrange logs in the user in Shopify and how does it set passwords...
