How I add social media account to my shopify page?

1. Login to Shopify admin.
2. Navigate “Online Store” and then click “Themes”.
3. Open the Asset folder.
4. By scrolling down you will find a link “Add a new asset”. ...
5. After clicking you will get a list of icons file, select the icon file you want to upload and then click “Upload asset”
6. The icon button is now available.

I googled it but i am not under stand the points..  where i have to go.. bit of confused....Anyone please help me out of this? it was very important to add icons on my shopify.

By default Shopify already have some icon for social media

Assuming you want to show those icon on footer

You need to add the social URL under

Online Store --> Themes --> Customize --> Theme Settings  (at the very bottom) --> Social Media --> add link to facebook, insta, twitter ... then Save

After that it will show icons on footer

There are two ways to add social media icons to your site, the easy and the more complicated way.

Let's start with the easy way first.
1. Easy Method - All you have to do is go to the Social Media section of the App Store and select the theme in which the Social Media Icon is available, there are many themes in the Theme Store that already include Social Media Icons (buttons). You can check if it has buttons by going to the Customize theme page and viewing the header, sidebar, homepage, or footer menus.

2. Now for a more advanced way, just follow the steps below:

• Log in to your Shopify admin
• Go to the online store and then click on Theme
• Open asset folder
• If you scroll down you will see a link Add a new asset Click on this link
• From the list of file, icon Select the icon file you want to upload and click on Upload asset
• The icon button will now be available and will work after adding the code to it (open the "theme.liquid" file to add the code)
• The button will be shown in your theme as per the code you pasted in the line
• Click save
• That's all.
