How long does it take for analytics to update preorder sales?

We do many preorders. The morning after the preorder closes I download analytics by variant title to submit to our distributor. I'm finding many discrepancies in these reports. For instance this morning it states we sold one of a variant but we sold two. One customer ordered about an hour ago. How long does it take for the analytics to show the amounts (not money, but total units) per variant sold? This can create huge issues for us if we give our distributor the incorrect numbers to create.

@gillym82  are you taking about the Shopify dashboard or other  ?
