How to add an .svg image file (logo) to the Debut theme

Hello, I am a complete noob when it comes to HTML and code in general, so I was wondering if there is a simple way for me to add an .svg logo to the header of my shopify. I already added my .svg file as an asset, but I don't know what to do next. Been looking around for tutorials and found some, but they don't work (as in, nothing changes). I am using the Debut theme. Thank you.

Please follow the steps:
- Step 1: Go to Online store > Themes > Actions > Edit code.
- Step 2: Go to Sections > header.liquid, find 'section.settings.logo' and change code: https://i.imgur.com/nHV1p5n.png => https://i.imgur.com/eVGgcNP.png

With logo.svg is the filename you added to Assets

Hi! I am hoping you could help me too. I am trying to upload an SVG to the assets and receive this error: Aspect ratio must be between 100:1 and 1:100. I have tried changing the size of the SVG, first to 100px by 100px, then to 20 by 20 and neither work. Any ideas? Help is greatly appreciated!
